We invite our Glenwood parents to get involved in our Parent Advisory Committees and Councils:
📘 ELAC: Gives families of English Learners a voice in school decisions and supports programs for English Learners.
🏫 SSC: Helps make decisions about programs and resources that support student achievement.
🤝 LSLC: Brings parents, staff, and community members together to make decisions that support our school.
Your voice matters, and we would love to have you join us! 💙
🌟 Habit 1: Be Proactive
One important way we can help our children Be Proactive is by teaching them how to recognize and manage strong feelings. When children feel angry, frustrated, worried, or overwhelmed, help them pause, take a few deep breaths, name the feeling, and choose a safe response.
Remind your child: “You cannot always control how you feel, but you can control what you do next.” 💙

Our PTA is an important partner in supporting Glenwood! They help support school initiatives, provide resources for our students and staff, and help make our schoolwide events and activities possible.
