We observe California Admission Day, commemorating California’s admission to the United States as the 31st state on September 9, 1850.
🇺🇸 NO SCHOOL – Monday, September 7th
We observe Labor Day, a national holiday honoring the contributions and achievements of American workers.
🏫 We return to school Tuesday, September 8!

🗳️ Tuesday, September 8 – LSLC Orientation & Election
Join us at 2:20 PM for our LSLC Orientation and Election of Members. The LSLC is an important advisory committee that provides input and helps strengthen communication and collaboration between the school community and school leadership.
💙 We encourage you to join us and be part of this important committee!
🎓 Wednesday, September 9 – College Day!
Wear your favorite college shirt or college colors and show us where you dream of going!

After-school Intervention begins on Wednesday for selected students. If you have any questions, please contact our Intervention Prevention Teacher, Mrs. Jimenez.

Wear RED, WHITE & BLUE as we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward to help others.
🗳️ Friday, September 11 – SSC Election of Officers
Join us at 2:20 PM for our School Site Council (SSC) Election of Officers. SSC is an important shared-governance committee that helps review and provide input on the school’s programs, goals, and use of designated school funds.

🌟 Habit 2: BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
This month, our Glenwood family is focusing on Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind.
Habit 2 means thinking about what we want to accomplish before we begin. We help our students set goals, make positive choices, and think about the person and learner they want to become.
💡 Parent Tip: Ask your child, “What is one goal you have for this week, and what can you do to help yourself reach it?” Encourage them to create a plan and celebrate their progress!
